This is one of my favorite cozy cafes in Houston. There is always an open seat and an outlet if you need to work/study/shop online. They have WiFi which you can gain access to if you order something. I always get their horchata iced latte and a tamale while I work! There is a lot of outdoor seating as well and there is additional parking which means I don't have to fight for a spot ! This is my go to cafe :)

I was looking for a good coffee place where my friend and I could sit and talk chisme. The horchata latte is really what drew us to this place. It did not disappoint either! It was so good! Was it an authentic horchata flavor? No, but it was still pretty great. So great that I took my husband a couple of weeks later for the same latte. There were several places to sit and talk, we even got to sit on one of their couches, which made the gossip easier. We stayed so long that we ended up each ordering a second latte. The whole place is very outdated and old but that's exactly what they are going for. It's definitely just an old house that was converted into a coffee shop. It was busy when we got there and it stayed busy for the entire time we were there. The service was quick, though, so we never waited very long for our lattes. It was a great experience, we'll definitely be back for our next café y chisme session.

This is a cozy coffee house perfect for working at, as it is filled with folks on their laptops. Luckily it's quiet so you can enjoy a coffee and get your work done. Service was straightforward and fast. If it is busy, I would just Google their menu as they only had one at the front. Now for the important part: the coffee. I ordered the cafe de olla, with creamer. It was smooth, not overpowering, with lovely light notes of cinnamon and sugar. Not overly sweet, just a hint. My boyfriend ordered the campesino cafe con leche which was essentially the same as the cafe de olla but with more milk. The flavor was even lighter in this one but very good! Again not too sweet just smooth with a delicate cinnamon flavor. I really enjoyed the coffee, it was simple, but good and the cups they serve them in are so cute. I will definitely go back to try other flavors. The coffee prices were also pretty affordable compared to their joints.

No nuts in the coffee! I met a friend here and it was pretty full on a Sunday afternoon. There's seating indoors and a larger area in the back. You order and pick up at the counter. I had to park on a nearby street. Lovely, flavorful coffee at a reasonable price WITH a free refill? Perfect for catching up with a friend or a first date. It's a great spot that I'd definitely return to.

The ambiance from the moment you step inside is tranquil, serene and quiet-- I just KNOW I'll finally be able to finish coding and develop my software skills even more by visiting more frequently and not having my annoying anxious avoidant neighbor trying to start a conversation every 5 minutes in the common space area of where I reside. I can finally sip my coffee in peace and get some work done at the same time. Latina owned business and I look forward to returning again! El cafe de olla tastes just as if I made it at home, fresh y con un toque de canela traen el pan dulce del "El Bolillo", the best spot to buy pan dulce in Houston in my humble and ferocious foodie opinion. Como Hispana, y mas que nada, Mexicana y Cubana, a good cup of coffee is hard to find up to my standards... but this spot passes the test. It reminded me so much of my usual favorites in Austin, TX. This is one spot you do NOT want to miss within the Houston city limits for good pan dulce y un cafecito for the road .
